Before Animal Mama opened its doors, many pets and stray animals lacked access to reliable medical attention. Yulia Khouri, the organization's founder, was compelled by this dire need and launched Animal Mama to serve not only beloved pets but also abandoned and stray animals. 

Starting as a modest veterinary practice in Phnom Penh, Animal Mama has expanded its impact to Siem Reap, creating a haven for animals and a much-needed educational and healthcare resource for pet owners and rescuers.
