RIPPLE EFFECT RIDES
We proudly support
Heartprint's mission to build homes.
For every house built, the family is also provided with a toilet and access to clean water through a well, provided there is sufficient funding and space. This essential addition ensures better sanitation and water quality, improving the family’s overall health and living conditions while fostering a more sustainable and dignified way of life.
ABOUT HEARTPRINT
By building a home, individuals are not just providing shelter; they’re creating a future for families in need. Many families struggle to survive on a day-to-day basis and lack the resources to construct safe, reliable housing. They often live in makeshift homes that leak, provide little protection, and pose safety risks, especially for children.
A new house brings pride, safety, and stability, offering families a better quality of life, improved health, and protection from illness and injury.
The housing project focuses on building homes in and around Siem Reap. These homes are constructed with steel frames and tin surrounds, with lockable windows and doors to ensure safety. The families served are often destitute; widows with children, those facing life-threatening illnesses, or individuals with wages too low to support their families. Families are selected through referrals and by working with village Chiefs to ensure the most vulnerable are helped.
When possible, repairs are made to existing homes, saving money and minimising disruption for families who would otherwise need to move temporarily.
Toilets and wells are provided to improve sanitation, prevent the spread of disease, and promote better hygiene practices, which are essential for long-term health and well-being. This holistic approach helps families not only build a house, but a healthier, safer future.
Heartprint takes a holistic approach to charity, focusing on the entire well-being of families rather than just their immediate needs. In 2020, they opened the Heartprint Community Centre, which allows them to support families in a more comprehensive way, addressing not only their physical needs but also their emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. This shift helps families move forward in a more sustainable way, ensuring they receive the full range of support required to thrive.
