Fundraising: Ride for a Reason, Make a Difference

Your journey with Ride to REACH isn't just about personal accomplishment; it's about making a tangible impact on the lives of 350 vulnerable children and their families supported by REACH Siem Reap.  By participating, you commit to raising $5,000 AUD, every single dollar of which goes directly to REACH.  From the moment you register, REACH's dedicated fundraising team will provide personalised support, maximising your chances of hitting your goal.  This fundraising commitment is separate from the tour cost, ensuring your contribution goes directly where it's needed most.  REACH Siem Reap reserves the right to cancel participation for those who do not meet the minimum fundraising target. By registering, you acknowledge and accept this important requirement.  Together, we can empower these children and build a brighter future.

Ripple Effect Rides operates and hosts the tour, managing all logistics and ensuring an exceptional cycling experience.  All tour costs are handled by Ripple Effect Rides, covering the expenses of the event.  Crucially, all fundraising efforts, separate from the tour costs, go directly to REACH Siem Reap, making a real and lasting difference in the lives of the children and families they support. This partnership model ensures a professionally run tour while maximising the impact of your fundraising efforts.

        What to bring

          What to Bring:

A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration, but here are some essential items to get you started.  Participants are required to wear the provided REACH Siem Reap cycling jersey during the rides.  Please ensure you bring comfortable cycling shorts, appropriate cycling shoes, and other necessary cycling gear.  While bikes are provided, you are welcome to bring your own saddle and pedals if you prefer, and our team will assist with fitting them.

Beyond cycling essentials, we recommend bringing the following:

          • Hydration: Drink bottles are included, but we highly recommend bringing a hydration pack for easier access to water while cycling, especially on longer rides.
          • Clothing: Lightweight, breathable clothing suitable for hot and humid weather, including a light rain jacket.  Evenings can be cool in some locations, so packing a light fleece or sweater is also a good idea.
          • Swimwear: For enjoying hotel pools and the coastal areas.
          • Sun Protection: High-SPF sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are crucial for protecting yourself from the strong Cambodian sun.
          • Insect Repellent: Mosquitoes can be prevalent, especially in rural areas.
          • Personal Medications and First-Aid Kit: While our guides carry first-aid supplies, it's wise to bring any personal medications you require and a small kit for minor ailments.
          • Personal Items: Toiletries, a reusable water bottle (in addition to the provided ones), a small backpack for day trips, and any other personal items you deem necessary.
          • Spending Money: We recommend budgeting an additional $10-25 USD per day for incidentals, drinks (including alcoholic beverages), souvenirs, and optional activities.  While meals are included as specified in the itinerary, this extra cash will allow you flexibility.
