Booking & Cancellation Policy

Last updated 6/9/2025

This policy outlines the booking and cancellation terms for all services offered by Ripple Effect Rides. By booking a tour or ride with us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Day Tours & Community Rides

Booking: Our Day Tours and Community Rides can be booked up to 17 hours prior to the scheduled start time. Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the event’s start time will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event’s start time will be charged in full, and no refund will be issued.

No-Shows: If you do not show up for your tour or ride, you will be considered a “no-show,” and your payment will be forfeited. No refund will be issued.

Charity Rides (Multi-Day Tours)

Booking and Payments: A 30% deposit of the total tour cost is required to secure your spot. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 90 days before the tour start date. Payments can be made by card, or you can opt to make the full payment at the time of booking via bank transfer.

Mandatory Travel Insurance: It is a condition of booking that all participants have valid travel insurance for the duration of the tour. This insurance must cover personal injury, medical expenses, and repatriation costs. Proof of insurance may be required prior to the tour start date.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made 90 days or more before the tour start date will receive a full refund, minus any applicable fees and unrecoverable costs.
  • Cancellations made between 60 and 89 days before the tour start date will incur a 50% loss of the total tour cost.
  • Cancellations made between 30 and 59 days before the tour start date will incur a 75% loss of the total tour cost.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour start date are non-refundable.

Deferment of Booking: At Ripple Effect Rides’ discretion, a tour booking may be deferred for up to 24 months. Depending on the date of deferment, loss of deposits or initial payments on the tour will be applied as per the cancellation policy above. All remaining funds paid will then be held and applied to a future event hosted by the same cause.

No-Shows: Participants who do not show up for the tour will be considered a “no-show,” and their payment will be forfeited. No refund will be issued.

Changes to Booking: Any requests to change a booking must be submitted to us as soon as possible. All change requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and we cannot guarantee that changes can be made.

Changes to Itinerary: While we make every effort to adhere to the published itinerary, we reserve the right to make minor changes or adjustments to the route or schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather, road conditions, or safety concerns.

Company Cancellation: In the rare event that we must cancel a tour, you will be offered a full refund, minus any applicable fees or unrecoverable costs, or the option to reschedule for a future date. We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred, such as flights or accommodation.
