The Temples, Your Way

Tuk-Tuk Temple Explorer is our private full-day tour of the Angkor temple complex by traditional Cambodian tuk tuk. For travellers who want to experience the temples at a gentler pace, with a private guide, in air-conditioned comfort if you prefer, and on a schedule shaped around your group.

This is the temple experience for families with children, multi-generational groups, couples who want a relaxed day, or anyone who’d rather sit back and take it all in. No cycling, no rushed itinerary, no shared coach. Just the three iconic temples (Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon), thoughtfully timed to avoid the busiest moments, with the flexibility to add lesser-known sites or extend your day if your group wants more.

Like all our day tours, 10% of every ticket is donated to the partner cause of your choice. Your driver and guide are local Cambodians with strong temple knowledge and genuine insight into the communities and causes we support. So while you’re exploring the past, you’re also contributing to the present.

The Standard Day

The default itinerary covers the three main temples, Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon, with a relaxed pace and time at each site for proper exploration. Lunch at a quality restaurant near the temples is included. Your guide times each visit to skip the worst of the crowds, using lesser-known entry gates and reversing the typical coach-tour route where it helps.

Build Your Own Day

Want more temples? Want less? Want to finish at sunset instead of mid-afternoon? Your guide can shape the day around your group’s interests. Lesser-known temples can be added on request, and your guide will advise based on time and distance from the main complex. The standard end time is around 5pm, but earlier or later is fine if it suits your group. Just tell us at booking or on the day, and we’ll make it work.

Tuk-Tuk or AC Vehicle

Our standard tuk tuk is open-sided, breezy and authentically Cambodian. It’s the way most visitors experience the temples. For groups who prefer air-conditioned comfort, especially in the hot season or for older travellers, we offer an AC vehicle upgrade for $35. Same itinerary, same guide, same impact, just in a different style of ride.

Sunrise or Standard Start

Choose at booking. Sunrise starts get you to Angkor Wat for the iconic dawn light, before the coach tours arrive. Standard starts are gentler on the body clock and still give you full temple access with plenty of time at each site.
